I really love what I do! Being a photographer is so much fun. Over the weekend I was thinking about my pricing and what I could do to make my wedding photography affordable to every budget. Every girl deserves some great photos of her wedding day. So with that in mind I have decided to start my pricing at $300 for basic coverage. I will still offer more starting with the basics and going up to full day coverage with an additional photographer, flush mount albums, canvas wrapped prints and Cd's for the bride & groom as well as Cd's for each of the parents. I also do a pre-wedding consultation with every bride even with the basic coverage. Don't worry if you are from out of town we can do our pre-wedding consultation online if needed. The roses are finally in bloom. Everything is late this year with the colder weather. It has been in the 50's & 60's in The Valley-much colder than it should be this time of year. I took a few photos today. You can purchase an 8x8 print of them on the Sweet Life in the Valley Esty Shop if you would like.

Sweet Family Life * Fishing & Photography

Today we went fishing as a family. I have not been fishing in over 15 years and even then I was for the most part just an observer. I have three children who have asked more than once if we can go fishing. Well fishing was filed under something dad will take care of and I will go as an observer and possibly the line untangler. Since I am no longer married and haven't been for 6 years now I had to refile the fishing job to my job. We bought our fishing licences a few poles and all the other paraphernalia associated with fishing and we were off. There was a lot of tangled lines and the ewws when putting on the bate but the kids had a great time. For the most part I was the observer and the line untangler and the kids got their wish. My 12 year old who is working on his photography merit badge took these pictures of the Provo River and the fishing reel. He has a good eye! The Valley has some great fishing. In fact the Provo River is a fisherman's destination spot. If you live in The Valley there are so many places you can go. For tips of fishing in Utah or a place near you visit your local Division on Wild Life. The Utah Division of Wild Life has fishing hot spots, weekly fishing reports, a fishing guide book and more. Fishing licenses are required in most places and often free for children. In Utah you are free if under the age of 12 and to our surprise free under the age of 15 in Vermont-we are planning a trip to Vermont the first of July.

Sweet Gardening * Photos of Your Gardens

After posting today about gardening and mulch I was thinking about taking photos of my garden and posting them every now and then to show it's progress. I would love to have you all send in some photos of your gardens and their progress the big and the small even if you just planted a couple of pots on your balcony. So everyone please share and we will post them once a week as they come in. Be sure to include where you are located. I am looking forward to seeing what you are all doing!

Happy Easter From Our Family to You!

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a great Easter Saturday filled with family, kite flying, bubble blowing, side walk chalk drawing & tons of wonderful foods. I love Easter Sundays at church. I always look forward to holiday Sundays so I can sing the special hymns. Singing is my favorite part of church. Another special thing happen today the Easter bunny brought my brother & sister-in law a baby boy for Easter. Kingston David- he was 6lb2oz 20 inches long and as sweet as can be. I hope you all had a blessed and wonderful Easter holiday.
