It is spring and it is almost time to plant here in The Valley. We are a zone 3 0r 4 depending on where you are in The Valley which means Mother's Day weekend is the rule of thumb for planting. Here is a zone guide for those of you not here in The Valley. I love to garden even if it is small and in containers. I have always had some sort of garden. Right now I have a small patch of herbs right out my front door. Some of my must haves are a spray nozzle for watering good gloves and hanging baskets. That lovely Vermont Garden Cart is on my wish list. It is pretty and would be so handy. I am seriously considering Adirondack Chairs for the yard. They are comfortable sturdy and L.L. Bean has a nice fresh selection of colors. We bought a few flowers today to put in our hanging baskets and pots. I also bought some basil to add to our little herb patch. We will be planting some veggies next week. Have fun planting your gardens and remember anyone can grow a little bit of something no matter how small your space.

Here are some pretty finds from the Sundance Catalog. I haven't owned a pair of cowgirl boots in years but these sure would be a lovely flowery pair to wear. I also love the the single pearl necklace. You could wear it with almost anything. If you happen to be in The Valley stop by the Sundance Shop up Provo Canyon. I am amazed how many people live in The Valley and have never wandered up that way. They have a great little shop as well as the Tree Room Restaurant The Foundry Grill The Sundance Deli for a bite to eat.

I visited The Flower Basket Boutique this weekend while on the Provo Gallery Stroll. This flower shop & boutique has some beautiful things. They have such pretty clothes & hot jeans as well as fun spring time hats. Do you remember the V Chocolates we gave away for Valentines Day? Well they carry V Chocolates & they are all 20% off right now.

On most days I wear something that is pink even if it is just a shade of pink lip gloss. I love this double breasted pink swing coat by Ralph Lauren. Most swing coats are just an a-line coat but this one comes with a belt which I think makes it extra special. Ralph Lauren does make a quality product and a very nicely detailed coat.

I told her we need to go find a sweet pair of wellies & she will be set for spring. Something that is great about the coat is that it is less than $30 & comes in sizes xs which will fit your 5-6 yrld to size xxl which will fit your 12-13 yrld.

I was out and about today & happened into Cats Cradle in Provo. Glen proprietor of the shop had stacks of these vintage labels. I had to buy a few. I am framing the Auto Label-a broom label with great graphics-for my boys' room & my daughter has decided she wants one or two for her room as well. I had to get the 7-up Lithiated Lemon Soda label circa 1930- the slogan on the label is just so funny it reads " 7-up is more than a mixer... It blends out harsh features. Dispels hangovers. Takes the "ouch" out of grouch." What is particulary amuzing is that it is "Lithiated". I am sure any one that is having a dose of lithium with their 7-up will surely be happy and no longer "grouchy." There are days I wish my 7-up came like these did. The labels start at only $1 each. Stop by & sort through these lovely finds. Be sure to have a while to look there is so much in that little shop.
