Sweet Life in The Valley * Happenin in The Valley * Provo Farmers Market

Provo Farmers Market

Every Saturday, June- October from 9-2
at Pioneer Park, 500 W 100 S

Pottery by local artist Greg Caldwell I took a few pottery classes in college & his pieces make me want to get back into the studio. Pottery has such a great organic feel to it when you use it. Buy some from a local artist and you will see what I mean.

Do you see that great yellow potato basket- remember when I posted about finding one? Maybe I can see if this farmer will sell one to me. There are so many different vegetables available at the market from this beautiful swiss chard to potatoes to the old standbys like tomatoes & corn.

Local bakers are baking up fresh yummy artisan breads like the ones on the right from Flour Girls & Dough Boys and sweet breads on left by a local baker.

Buy yourself a pretty bunch of flowers for your desk or table.

Fresh herbs- a bunch for only $1 each or buy a pot to plant in your own garden. Use the basil to make a large batch of homemade pesto & freeze rest for later.

Fresh berry lemonade by Maggie's Market -yum. She also has lip balms & the most wonderfully scented Earth Bound Lavender all natural soap. Pick up a jar of local raw honey from the honey man - The Honey Company.

If you live outside The Valley find your local farmers market & enjoy a stroll through the feeling of old style markets of years gone by. Organic & natural products are often abundant. If you grow your own products check out opening a booth at a local farmers market. The booth rentals are surprisingly low. What a wonderful way to share your bounty. Click here for details about renting a booth at the Provo Farmer's Market.
